The President visited the warehouse of medical equipment together with Director of the Republic Health Insurance Institute Sanja Skodric, Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and Director of the Security and Intelligence Agency Bratislav Gasic.
He pointed out that the large warehouse of Milsped group contains packages with different medical equipment, which include ventilators, protective equipment - surgical masks, antiviral masks, goggles, visors, oxygenator, pulse oximeter, protective gowns, protective suits, caps, thermometers and more.
Vucic said that there are also clinical ventilators, ten of which will be transported to Novi Pazar, noting that we have 201 more mobile ventilators, while 36 more will arrive today.
Serbia has managed to import more than 30 million surgical and 15 million epidemiological masks, the President underlined and announced that the next aircraft with the equipment will arrive on 7 April.
Vucic said that Chinese experts also asked us to import 100 oxygenators, which we have done, explaining that these devices are for recovery after the patient has been removed from the ventilatory support.
The President pointed out that central Serbia, with Nis and Kragujevac as the largest centres, will be strengthened with new ventilators, noting that all general hospitals have a clinical ventilator and will also receive mobile ones.
He also announced that the number of ventilators in the City Hospital at Zvezdara and Zemun Hospital will be increased.
