Minister for European Integration in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Jadranka Joksimovic, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi and Head of the UNOPS Office Michela Telatin signed a donation agreement worth €4.9 million today to help Serbia in to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

This donation will allow the purchase of ventilators, tests and protective laboratory equipment. The implementing partner is the United Nations Office for Project Services in Serbia (UNOPS).
This grant is part of the €93 million financial support provided by the European Union to Serbia for urgent, short- and medium-term measures to counteract the effects of COVID-19.
Joksimovic, who is also the national IPA coordinator and coordinator of donor and development assistance, said that we are in intensive and constant communication regarding the future channeling of money from the available EU funds for socio-economic development, where EU support will be significant to us.
Fabrizi said that in difficult times we have to stick together and he was pleased that the European Union quickly responded to Serbia's request for assistance, noting that €15 million was allocated for Serbia’s current needs.
