The Ministry of Defence announced today that through joint efforts of members of the Serbian Armed Forces, the City of Novi Sad and the Provincial Secretariat of Health, the halls of the Novi Sad Fairgrounds have been turned into a temporary hospital for patients with mild symptoms of COVID-19 infectious disease.

After visiting the halls, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin pointed out that the example of this joint cooperation shows that the state is functioning, as well as how important it is to invest in every segment of our country.
The Minister noted that approximately 1,000 patients from Vojvodina can be placed in Hall 1 and the Master Hall of the Novi Sad Fairgrounds and that all conditions for a good accommodation are provided.
Mayor of Novi Sad Milos Vucevic said that Hall 1 is ready to start receiving patients and that it is equipped with beds with linens, cabinets, chairs and tables in every room.
Provincial Health Secretary Zoran Gojkovic underlined that the training of the first doctors who will work at the temporary hospital has been completed.
