Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Serbian Clinical Centre Goran Stevanovic stated at a press conference at the Palace of Serbia that 115 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the last 24 hours and seven new deaths.
The total number of coronavirus cases is 900 and a total number of deaths is 23.
Stevanovic said that today is the most difficult day in the fight against coronavirus in Serbia and expressed fear that even more difficult days are ahead of us because the preventive measures put in place are not respected.
We took this disease too lightly and we are trying to avoid the necessary measures to curb the spread of the virus. If we continue to act like this there is no health system in the world that can treat such a large number of patients. We will have a scenario like in Italy and Spain and we will not be able to help our fellow citizens, Stevanovic underlined.
