At today’s press conference, Milosavljevic pointed out that the training course is being held as part of a wider USAID project aiming to develop entrepreneurship in Serbia, and is of great importance for the improvement of clinical research of medicines in Serbia.
Milosavljevic specified that the training will take three days, and will be held in Nis, Belgrade and Novi Sad. He added that 150 doctors will take part in the training, after which they will be given certificates for conducting clinical research.
According to him, doctors will hear lectures on principles of clinical practice, making ethical decisions, on how to get an examinee’s assent, on an independent ethical committee, as well as on how to ensure the success of clinical research.
Director of the Serbian Agency for Medicines and Medical Supplies Tomislav Solarovic recalled that within the Agency operates a board for issuing permits and supervising research, whose inspectors supervise the entire research process.
