First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said today that all Serbian citizens who had previously been stranded at airports and border crossings around the world were evacuated.
Dacic said in a statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that cases of people who are staying abroad and wanting to return are now being considered, and that if they are located in distant destinations, they should reach the nearest cities which Air Serbia reached.
The issue of the United States of America is now being considered. There will be two flights to Malta today, with the next destinations likely to be Abu Dhabi and Stockholm, where the plane is scheduled to fly on Monday.
Dacic said that 24 medical workers arrived from Germany, at the invitation of the Serbian government through the Return Point Programme, and noted that another 200 to 300 are interested in returning.
He also said that a Serbian diplomat from the Geneva office, who was hospitalised in Berne for coronavirus infection, is better and has left the hospital.
