First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic had a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
The two officials discussed the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures taken by Serbia and India to eliminate the virus and provide appropriate assistance to patients.
Dacic expressed his gratitude to the Indian Foreign Minister for his country’s cooperation in procuring the necessary medical equipment and he also asked him for assistance in issuing necessary licenses so that medical equipment purchased in India could be transported to Serbia as soon as possible.
Minister Jaishankar said that he will personally work to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
The two ministers expressed their hope that Serbia and India, as well as the whole world, will defeat the COVID-19 pandemic, and they reached an agreement on the continuation of communication, in the spirit of friendly relations between the two countries.
