First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said that 24 medical workers will return today from Germany to Serbia by an Air Serbia flight.
Dacic said in a statement to the Tanjug news agency that the those medical workers had left their jobs in Germany to help our country, although they were facing threats that they would no longer be able to find employment in the European Union.
He pointed out that the Serbian government, in agreement with the President of the Republic, organised an Air Serbia flight to Berlin and Frankfurt, and specified that 174 German nationals were transported to Berlin with this flight and that the same number of our citizens should be returned to Serbia.
The First Deputy Prime Minister announced that one or two flights to Malta are scheduled for tomorrow, depending on the number of returns, because although they have applied for the flight, many of our nationals are giving up due to mandatory quarantine in Serbia.
