Further payment of allowances for several categories of beneficiaries extended

Belgrade, 24 March 2020

At today’s government session, the latest decisions were made regarding the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, including a decision concerning beneficiaries of social care, allowances and care for other people, child allowances, as well as citizens with the right to all benefits related to special child care.

To all of them, whose right to use of the said funds expires on 15 March this year and after, further payment of the rights on the basis of previously issued decisions during the state of emergency is extended.

In order to protect the rights of all citizens, it was decided that no citizen can bear the consequences of failing to act within the statutory time limit in all administrative procedures. This practically means that all time limits in the administrative procedure (filing of appeals, passing decisions…) will be extended by 30 days from the date of termination of the state of emergency.

Also, during the state of emergency, medicines and medical supplies may be imported from the People’s Republic of China.

The government of the Republic of Serbia continues to monitor the situation regarding the COVID-19 virus and will regularly inform citizens of the situation. Once again, we appeal to all citizens to adhere to all measures without exception, as this is the only way for us to all together defeat this contagious disease.
