Dacic also conveyed expressions of deep compassion and solidarity to the friendly Iranian people, and expressed his hope that the country will successfully overcome this difficult period and that the measures taken by Iran will soon yield results.
He informed Zarif about the measures taken by the government of Serbia to prevent the emergence, spread and control of infectious disease COVID-19, in accordance with World Health Organisation’s assessments and recommendations.
Due to the current situation and the danger of spreading this disease, he said, citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran are temporarily forbidden to enter Serbia.
Dacic explained that it is a measure of a temporary nature, which was adopted not only to protect against the spread of coronavirus in Serbia, but also in the context of activities to prevent the further global spread of the virus, and expressed his sincere hope and wish for the circumstances to be such to enable that these measures worldwide are put to an end as soon as possible.
Zarif expressed gratitude for Serbia's solidarity, and expressed the expectation that through disciplined adherence to all recommended measures and mutual solidarity, we will be able to overcome one of the greatest health crises of modern times.
