Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanovic, signed today, at the opening of the Serbian-Chinese Business Forum in Shanghai, a Memorandum of Understanding for establishing a national platform for the development of artificial intelligence with Huawei Director in Serbia Li Mncun.

The memorandum was signed as part of the visit of the government of Serbia delegation to the People's Republic of China, attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and the ministers who are members of our delegation.
Jovanovic pointed out that this is the first major step in building a national artificial intelligence platform, stating that state-of-the-art high-performance computer systems, together with Huawei's artificial intelligence software platform, will be housed in State Data Centre in Kragujevac immediately after its opening.
These systems, he explained, will enable the development of state-of-the-art eGovernment services based on the use of artificial intelligence in accordance with the government's strategy for the development of artificial intelligence up to 2025, as well as the further development of education, research, innovation, science and economy.
