Regional Roaming Agreement signed

The Regional Roaming Agreement, which will allow significantly lower rates of roaming in the countries of the Western Balkans starting 1 July, was signed today at the Second Digital Summit of the Western Balkans in Belgrade.

The agreement was signed by the representatives of the Western Balkans and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

Roaming charges will be reduced by 27% in the first phase as of 1 July, and roaming for the Western Balkans is expected to be completely abolished as of 1 July 2021.

According to the agreement, the prices per minute of the conversation cannot exceed RSD 22.4, the price of a message of RSD 7, while the maximum price for data transfer will be RSD 21.4, all without VAT.

The price of roaming with Albania will be reduced by as much as 85%, since Albania has not yet been part of the agreements signed in 2014 by Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and BiH.

The agreement was signed under the auspices of the EU.

The digital summit, one of the symbols of regional cooperation initiated by the Berlin Process, will gather together ministers for the information society and digital agenda of the Western Balkans and the European Union, representatives of the European Commission, IT industry and the economy from the region and the world.

During the summit in Belgrade, the best IT companies in the region will have the opportunity to present themselves to the political and business leaders of the Western Balkans, Europe and the world.
