Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said today that fire and rescue vehicles donated by the Russian Federation to the units of the Serbian Interior Ministry are a symbol of good political and economic relations between the two countries that Serbian people appreciates.
Vucic said at the handover ceremony of the vehicles in front of the Palace of Serbia that the donation of highly advanced firefighting equipment worth over $9 million, which will be distributed in several cities.
The Interior Ministry received seven fire engines, three operational and rescue vehicles and two MVF 5 remote-controlled fire fighting vehicles.
These vehicles are the best sign and symbol of our good political and economic relations, said the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the government of Russia, President Vladimir Putin and Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin for the largest donation to the emergencies sector that Serbia has ever received.
Chepurin recalled that Serbia and Russia have a long history of good relations that have always helped each other in step with their capabilities.
