As part of “The Days of European Heritage” event which is being held in Belgrade from 11 to 19 September, the building of the Serbian government in Nemanjina 11 street has been open to the public today.
With the help of a curator and art historian, citizens got acquainted with the most important artistic and architectonic characteristics of the building.
The visitors could see the hall where ministers hold sessions, the Yellow Salon where protocol meetings are held, a room from which government sessions are being recorded and the Press room.
Art historian Gordana Gordic said that the Serbian government building was erected in 1928 after the project of Russian architect Nikola Krasnov and it was improved ten years later.
“The Days of European Heritage“ is held every September since 1991 in member countries of the Council of Europe, and in Serbia since 2002.
Citizens today also visited the buildings of the Presidency, House of the Serbian parliament and the Old Palace.
