The management of the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) stated late today that the Avala tower, the symbol of Belgrade for many decades that was pulled down during the 1999 NATO bombing, has been fully reconstructed.
RTS expressed gratitude to citizens, donors, domestic and foreign companies, artists, prime ministers and ministers of Serbian governments, Belgrade city assemblies, the CIP and the construction company Ratko Mitrovic, owing to whom the Avala tower has been reconstructed in less than three years.
RTS handed over the management of Avala tower to the Serbian government and the last inspection checks are underway before the tower is put into operation. It is expected that the tower will be open to visitors in ten days.
