Minister of Foreign Affairs in a caretaker capacity Marko Đurić and Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Lana Zaki Nusseibeh opened the first bilateral political consultations between the two foreign ministries today.

Đurić expressed his conviction that these political consultations would significantly contribute to further intensifying the dialogue between Serbia and the UAE, as well as to the exchange of views on key bilateral and international issues of mutual interest.
He also highlighted the importance of UAE investments for the Serbian economy, particularly noting cooperation in the energy sector, primarily regarding renewable energy sources.
Đurić noted that maintaining economic stability is a key priority for Serbia, alongside continuing to attract investment, strengthening economic growth, and creating a favourable environment for the further development of economic cooperation with international partners.
He expressed satisfaction with the pace at which bilateral relations are developing.
