Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović held talks with Congressman Patrick Harrigan of North Carolina and Congressman Robert Aderholt of Alabama in the continuation of his working visit to Washington.
Both interlocutors expressed great interest in further strengthening US-Serbian relations, especially in the context of the upcoming Strategic Dialogue between the two countries.
Congressman Aderholt accepted an invitation to join the Serbian Caucus in the US Congress, of which Congressman Harrigan has been a member since before.
Starović also met with US State Department's Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues Ellen Germain, with whom he exchanged views on joint efforts to combat growing anti-Semitism around the world, as well as the revision and distortion of World War II history, which is particularly present in certain countries.
As the head of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), the Minister also held substantive meetings with representatives of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the American Jewish Committee (AJC).
