The session of the Intergovernmental Committee was held at the Palace of Serbia, at which more than 200 representatives of Serbia and Russia participated. The Serbian delegation was led by Minister Popović, who is also the chairman of the Serbian part of the Committee, while Minister Reshetnikov headed the Russian part of this body.
On this occasion, documents were also signed between the relevant institutions of Serbia and the Russian Federation, namely the Serbian-Russian Economic Cooperation Programme for the period from 2026 to 2031, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of higher education, the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities, and the Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of health.
In addition, memoranda were exchanged in the field of agriculture, relating to cooperation in the production of wine and other grape products, as well as the safe use of plant protection products and plant nutrition products in plant production.
During the session, the current state of bilateral cooperation was analysed and opinions were exchanged on the possibilities of its further improvement in areas of common interest.
Issues of cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, economy and investment, agriculture and food industry, construction, transport and infrastructure, automotive industry, robotics and automation were also discussed.
They also discussed cooperation in the fields of digitalisation, artificial intelligence and new technologies, space technologies, technological development and innovation, education, healthcare, tourism, culture, sports, as well as between chambers of commerce and other business institutions.
