Minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad Nenad Popović met today with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko, who is on an official visit to Serbia on the occasion of the holding of the Intergovernmental Serbian-Russian Committee for Trade and Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

Popović expressed gratitude to the Russian Federation for its consistent and continuous support for Serbia in protecting its territorial integrity and sovereignty, especially regarding Serbia’s southern province of Kosovo and Metohija.
He said that he discussed the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija with Grushko, with particular reference to the challenges and difficulties the Serbian people there face every day.
The Minister added that the topics of discussion also included political and economic cooperation, with a shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The 21st session of the Intergovernmental Serbian-Russian Committee for Trade and Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation will be held at the Palace of Serbia on 24 April, with the participation of more than 200 representatives of the two countries.
