Žarić Kovačević presented the demographic challenges that Serbia faces, such as low fertility rates, depopulation and an aging population, adding that the response to these challenges is high on the list of priorities of the Government of Serbia.
She emphasised that Serbia is investing significant resources in parenting support measures, including parental allowance, subsidies for the purchase of the first real estate for mothers, one-time and lump-sum forms of financial support, as well as the establishment of the Alimony Fund, the purpose of which is to provide financial security for children and prevent economic violence.
Žarić Kovačević invited the Minister of Ghana to participate in the Fourth Conference "Serbia - Our Family", which will be held in December in Belgrade, and which will bring together more than 300 participants.
The meeting also highlighted the political cooperation between the two countries, based on the principles of sovereign equality, non-interference in internal affairs and respect for international law.
