The interlocutors discussed increasing trade exchange and strengthening cooperation in the field of energy, economy, trade, industry, investment, digitalisation and new technologies.
They also discussed holding a session of the Intergovernmental Serbian-Russian Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Popović assessed that we need the cheapest Russian gas and oil in order to ensure stable supply and security for the economy and citizens, stating that Serbia receives gas from Russia under the most favourable conditions and at the lowest price in Europe, for which it has guaranteed quantities.
The Minister underlined that strengthening economic cooperation is one of the priorities in deepening relations with the Russian Federation in 2026.
