Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić stated today, at a meeting with the Commander of the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral George Wyckoff, that Serbia remains committed to military neutrality and building relations with all interested parties.

Gašić highlighted the importance of continuous dialogue between Serbia and NATO at all levels on issues of common interest, which contributes to improving trust and understanding.
He emphasised that Serbia, in accordance with its interests, remains a committed and credible partner and guarantor of security, determined to maintain the appropriate level of cooperation within the Partnership for Peace programme.
Wyckoff stressed the importance of long-term cooperation between NATO and Serbia within the Partnership for Peace programme, while fully respecting the country’s policy of military neutrality.
He also emphasised the importance of maintaining direct and transparent channels of communication between NATO and the KFOR mission with the Serbian state authorities, of which the contacts of the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces with the KFOR Commander and him personally are of particular importance.
