Đurić explained that the two ministries will regularly exchange information on developments in their regions in the future, but will also work together to enhance economic cooperation, given the considerable economic opportunities of the two countries.
He emphasised Serbia’s strong support for the national government of Libya, its efforts and endeavours to improve the quality of life, the security situation and the overall social climate in the country.
Serbian leading companies in Libya have done an outstanding job in previous decades. We want this to continue in the coming period, just as we want to see Libyan businesspeople and businesses in Serbia, the Minister said.
Al-Baour stressed that the two countries are bound by relations lasting 70 years, good cooperation and communication, as well as aligned positions on many issues.
The head of Libyan diplomacy stressed that Libya respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, placing particular emphasis on the importance of intensifying economic cooperation.
In this regard, the re-establishment of a direct air route between Belgrade and Tripoli would be of great importance, he said.
