Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and envoy of the Prime Minister Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski attended today the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Genocide Against Serbs, Jews and Roma in the Independent State of Croatia (NDH).

Đurđević Stamenkovski said that at this place, where unimaginable suffering and pain left deep wounds, we remember and pay tribute to all innocent victims who perished in the Jasenovac concentration camp system.
She noted that among the victims were Serbs, Jews, Roma, anti-fascists and all those who were considered different by the senseless ideology that took lives here.
Remembrance of Jasenovac is not only an act of historical importance but must also be a moral obligation for all of us – to preserve the truth, to fight against forgetting and to advocate for peace, tolerance and human rights, Đurđević Stamenkovski said.
The Minister stressed that this day should also serve as a reminder that it is our responsibility not to allow such a crime ever to happen again, to fight for a future that honours every victim and to build a society truly free from hatred and discrimination.
