Referring to the high frequency of meetings between Serbian and Azerbaijani officials in various fields of cooperation, especially during the last decade, Đurić expressed the hope that in the near future, economic relations will follow the pace of political dialogue in its intensity.
In this context, the head of Serbian diplomacy assessed that the work of the Intergovernmental Commission of Serbia and Azerbaijan for Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is co-chaired by Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković, has brought concrete results, especially in the field of energy and transport.
Đurić pointed out that the conclusions from the last, 8th session held in July this year in Baku, will undoubtedly contribute to the further improvement of intersectoral cooperation, especially in the field of construction, infrastructure and agriculture.
The head of Serbian diplomacy noted the need for stronger economic and investment ties between our two countries, and in this sense conveyed to the interlocutor the interest of Serbian companies for a greater presence on the Azerbaijani market, but also for the possibility of attracting businessmen and potential investors from Azerbaijan.
