Serbia attractive place for investments in field of biotechnology

Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic met today with 30 students of the first and second year of Stanford University's business and management programme, who are staying in our country as part of a student trip.

During a visit to the Serbian government, the students had the opportunity to hear detailed information about the BIO4 campus, which was presented to them by Director of the IT and Entrepreneurship Team in the Office of the Prime Minister Nenad Paunovic, but also about the trends in the development of artificial intelligence in our country, which were presented to them by an advisor in the Serbian government Stefan Badza.

Begovic talked with the students about Serbia's ambitions to use science for the development of the economy, but also about everything that our country offers and what makes it an attractive place for investments in the field of biotechnology and artificial intelligence.

It is important to connect with strong ecosystems that recognise science and knowledge as the basis of development. We have a lot to learn, but also to offer as a smaller country to other scientific communities, said the Minister.

Nancy Liao, a student at Stanford University from California, said that she was pleasantly surprised by Serbia, its citizens and representatives, which is why she wants to come to our country again.
