Minister of Justice Maja Popovic talked today with Director of the Academy of European Law (ERA) Jean-Philippe Rageade about the improvement of cooperation of our country with that academy.
Popovic emphasised the importance of educating Serbian judges, public prosecutors and lawyers in the field of European Union law, through trainings organised by the Academy of European Law in cooperation with the Judicial Academy.
To that end, the Minister expressed Serbia's readiness to join the Justice Programme of the European Commission and to become a full member of the Academy of European Law, which will open the opportunity for local legal experts to more intensively attend educational programmes financed within the framework of this programme and implemented by the Academy of European Law, in cooperation with the Judicial Academy.
Rageade welcomed our country's intention to improve cooperation with the Academy of European Law and emphasised the readiness of the Academy for Serbia to become its full member.
