Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Darija Kisic spoke today in Ljubljana with Slovenian Minister of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunity Luka Mesec about improving cooperation between the two countries.
The two officials assessed that bilateral relations between Serbia and Slovenia are very developed and that there is room for further intensification of cooperation.
They also discussed the possibility of amending the agreement between the governments of the two countries, which related to the employment of Serbian citizens in Slovenia.
Kisic proposed making a bilateral agreement, adding that, given the economic growth in Serbia and the increase in demand on the labour market, in recent years there has been a trend of increasing interest of Slovenian citizens in working in our country.
Kisic and Mesec pointed out that the creation of equal opportunities and rights for workers when working in another country is a priority of their joint activities.
