The Ministry of Youth and Sports stated that at a meeting of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office, held in Belgrade, the ways and possibilities in which countries of the Western Balkans can support the youth were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic, Albanian Minister of State for Youth and Children Bora Muzhaqi, Director of the Agency for Youth and Sports of North Macedonia Naumce Mojsovski, as well as representatives of governments and youth of other countries.
Participants in the meeting discussed the activities planned for the coming period, and about how much the existing mechanisms contribute to putting into practice the idea of regional cooperation of the youth in the Western Balkans.
Udovicic expressed satisfaction with the fact that a constructive and partnership relation has been created during the work of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office between representatives of governments and the youth and that the common goal, which is connecting the youth of the region, has not been abandoned at any moment.
The Minister noted that the region can achieve progress only through joint action and the promotion of the concept of tolerance, solidarity and cooperation.
This year Serbia chairs the Regional Youth Cooperation Office and until now more than 25,000 young people from the region have taken part in projects and programmes of this platform for cooperation and exchange of knowledge and experiences of the young, their organisations and institutions from the region of the Western Balkans.
