Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and Ambassador of France to Serbia Pierre Cochard delivered today, on the occasion of Europe Day, 27 awards to the best participants in competition “Imagine the Future of Europe”.
Joksimovic expressed gratitude to the French Ambassador on cooperation and organization of the award ceremony precisely on Europe Day and Victory over Fascism Day and added that 79 students applied for the competition, which shows that the young in Serbia are educated and follow the current developments.
She also thanked everyone who took part in the competition and sent their works on how they see the future of Europe and what their recommendations are for the development of the European Union, but also about the place of Serbia in the EU.
Cochard conveyed gratitude to Joksimovic on excellent partnership, stating that the joint project at this competition illustrates the common ambitions to promote Europe and its values among citizens of Serbia.
Given that France holds the presidency of the Council of the EU, we wanted to encourage young people in Serbia to think about the future of Europe, in the language in which Molière wrote. It is not only about the competition, but about a call to build Europe that suits your and our expectations, the Ambassador said.
