Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic took part in the 24th session of the General Assembly of the UN World Tourist Organization (UNWTO) in Madrid at which Mokra Gora was declared the Best Tourism Village at the award presentation ceremony.

Matic stated on this occasion that Mokra Gora was declared the best tourism village in 2021 with a reason, as the World Tourist Organization recognised this village as an outstanding example of a rural destination with huge potential for the improvement of rural tourism.
She underlined that Mokra Gora is a tourist village that cherishes culture and preserves tradition, celebrates differences, offers possibilities for the development of sustainable tourism and preserves biodiversity.
Owing to the unique Sargan Eight and the town of Mecavnik – Drvengrad, this village is a tourist attraction in Western Serbia which is visited by a large number of tourists from the country and abroad every year, the Minister underlined.
