Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic said that Serbia strives to be a good and constructive partner for everyone at the global and regional level, and to see the Organisation for Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) as an ideal platform for the implementation of such cooperation.

Addressing the participants in the 42nd meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of that organisation, Selakovic confirmed Serbia's commitment to improving regional cooperation and emphasized our openness to initiatives aimed at regional cohesion, good neighbourly relations and mutual understanding.
As Selakovic explained, we are especially focused on cooperation with regional partners in the areas of trade, tourism, transport and energy, given that we see these sectors as the main driving force of the economy in the region.
The Minister also stressed the importance of involving the private sector in BSEC projects.
He added that Serbia encourages all initiatives aimed at reviving trade, tourism and investment in the region during the virus pandemic, and is itself taking numerous measures aimed at stimulating the private sector, especially small and medium enterprises, and preventing the growth of unemployment.
