Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali announced today that the first session of the Mixed Committee for Cooperation between the governments of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be held on 8-9 April in Belgrade.
Mali, who also co-chairs the body, explained that during the two-day session, the most important topics will be related to economic relations, economic cooperation, cooperation in the fields of agriculture, environment, culture, energy, tourism, transport, youth and sports.
According to him, the net inflow in 2018 from the UAE to Serbia was €180 million, and in 2010 investments from UAE amounted to only €300,000, which best speaks about how much our cooperation has been strengthened in just a few years.
We believe that thanks to this event, which will gather representatives of large Arab companies, we will launch another major project, the Minister said, pointing out that the Co-Chair of the Joint Committee from UAE will be Minister of State Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber.
Mali said that some of the biggest investments from UAE are "Al Dahra", "Belgrade Waterfront", "Air Serbia", "Al Rawafed", and that the total value of Arab investments in Serbia is $4 billion.
