With the fourth industrial, i.e., Digital Revolution we have a chance to make up for lagging behind and catch up with more developed countries. This technological revolution will fundamentally change our lives, it is inevitable and unstoppable. Only winning societies face changes, they do not shy away from them. The government of Serbia believes that Serbia is ready to lead the entire region in the changes that follow and the creation of new opportunities for everyone. The digitisation process will improve the standard and quality of life of hundreds of thousands of Serbian residents. Efficiency will increase, costs will be reduced and new value will be created in almost all areas of life and work. The digitisation process is the most important catalyst for innovation, competitiveness and growth.
The export of ICT services in 2023 amounted to €3.44 billion, which represents a growth of 27% compared to 2022, when it reached €2.692 billion. The export of ICT services in 2021 amounted to €1.85 billion, while in 2011 it was at the level of only €375 million. ICT services are becoming a dominant sector of our economy, and the domestic ecosystem is ranked as one of the best in the world in the areas of video game development and blockchain technologies.
