Appearing on the Radio Television Serbia prior to the continuation of talks with Pristina, scheduled for 21 February, Stefanovic stressed that Belgrade has come up with five or six new proposals for Pristina’s regional representation and is not being asked to make more concessions.
He explained that some of these proposals comprise UN Security Council Resolution 1244, adding that in previous daily consultations the Belgrade team has additionally worked these proposals out.
Belgrade finds it acceptable to have the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice mentioned in the proposed solution, as this opinion did not confirm the right of Kosovo Albanians to unilaterally declare independence, he remarked.
Within this space we may be able to reach a solution on Tuesday in Brussels, Stefanovic observed, adding that another issue to be discussed will be the realisation of previously reached agreements, most notably in terms of administrative crossings at the north of the province.
