Pristina is trying to obliterate traces of existence of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija

The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated that the removal and moving of the Memorial Plaque to the Serbian soldiers fallen in the Balkan Wars, in the military part of the Orthodox cemetery in Pristina, is an attempt to erase all traces of the existence of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and to brutally rewrite history.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija informed the OSCE Mission and other international missions operating in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija about this anti-civilisation act, demanding concrete answers and accountability of the perpetrators of this act of vandalism.

Together with the Eparchy of Raska and Prizren, the Office will use all legal mechanisms and possibilities to return the plaque to its place and it has been working on it since the first day when this act of vandalism took place.

It is of particular concern that the removal of the plaque to Serbian fallen soldiers from a visible place occurred in front of the eyes of foreign representatives in Kosovo and Metohija, according to the testimonies of priests, which raises a question of whether Pristina is left a free hand to pursue its policy of desecration, denial and obliteration of everything related to Serbs, it is said in the statement.
