First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the decision of the Political Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on the recommendation for the admission of so-called Kosovo to the membership of the Council of Europe is shameful and scandalous.

Dacic emphasised that this decision destroys all the principles on which the Council of Europe rests, because for the first time the admission of a territory that is not a member of the United Nations and is not internationally recognised has been proposed.
That decision threatens and violates our territorial integrity and sovereignty, and represents another proof of the downfall and end of international law, Dacic said in a statement.
