Minister of Family Welfare and Demography Darija Kisic spoke today with Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) for Serbia John Kennedy Mosoti about the continuation of cooperation in the field of population policy and demography.
Kisic expressed her satisfaction that this year Serbia will be the co-chairing country of the UN Commission on Population and Development at the 57th session, which will be held in New York at the end of April, that is, at the beginning of May.
The Minister said that our country will continue to implement all measures aimed at improving the living conditions of all citizens in the coming period, and at the same time expressed her gratitude to UNFPA for the successful cooperation in this area so far.
Mosoti expressed his gratitude for Serbia's engagement so far and Minister Kisic's personal efforts to ensure that the earlier conclusions of international conferences on population empowerment, active and healthy aging, and reproductive health are implemented and globally contribute to the progressive development of the population.
