Minister of Health Danica Grujicic attended today the signing of contracts on donations from Japan to health institutions in Serbia, pointing out that Japan has been helping the citizens of Serbia for years in various ways.
Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Akira Imamura signed contracts for the donation of equipment worth almost €130,000 with Director of the Vladimirci Health Centre Branko Isailovic, Director of the Belgrade Institute of Neonatology Radmila Mileusnic Milenovic and President of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer Jolanda Korora.
Grujucic explained that the contracts were signed as part of the Project for the Basic Needs of the Population, through which Japan in the last 25 years donated aid to Serbia in the amount of more than €16 million, while €7 million were allocated for healthcare.
The Minister pointed out that this is only part of the help that Japan has provided us in the past two decades, and the total value of all donations is approximately €511 million.
