Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered a note of protest to the Embassy of Albania in Belgrade, in which it strongly condemns the unacceptable act of burning the national flag of Serbia in the central city square of Skenderbeg in Tirana.

The announcement states that the video of this act was published on media portals on 20 November and assesses that such events harm the bilateral relations of the two countries, which in the past few years have reached the highest point during their centuries-long joint history.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in that spirit, expects that the competent institutions of Albania will do everything in their power to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of this heinous act, who are clearly visible in the published video, as well as that they will respond to it diplomatically within a reasonable time and also inform the institutions of the Republic of Serbia thereof.
