Programme of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Annual Meeting and Business Forum

Saturday, May 21

11:00 am – 12:00 - Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, who is also EBRD’s representing Governor to Serbia-Montenegro, meets with representatives of HVB bank, Sava Centre, first floor - D24.

1:00– 1:30 pm - Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, who is also EBRD’s representing Governor to Serbia-Montenegro, meets with Ukrainian Minister of Finance Victor Pynzenyk. The two officials will meet at the Sava Centre, first floor - D24. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting.

1:30 - 2:00 pm – Dinkic will give statements to the press, Sava Centre, first floor - D24.

2:15 – 2:45 pm – Dinkic will meet with Japanese Minister of Finance Sadakazu Tanigaki in the Sava Centre, first floor - D24. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting.

2:45 – 3:45 pm – Dinkic will meet with representatives of the Nordic Investment Bank that will provide aid for flood-stricken areas in Serbia. The meeting will take place in the Sava Centre, first floor - D24. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting.

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Serbia-Montenegro Investment Forum, the Sava Centre, amphitheatre. Speakers: EBRD President Jean Lemierre, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus, Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic, Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo and National Bank of Serbia Governor Radovan Jelasic. The meeting is open to the media.

8:00 pm – Concert at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.

Sunday, May 22

9:00 - 10:30 am – Opening of the Business Forum plenary session, the Sava Centre. The session will be opened by Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, who is also EBRD’s representing Governor to Serbia-Montenegro.

10:00 – 10: 45 am – Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic will meet with representatives of the Deutsche Bank in the Sava Centre, first floor - D24. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting.

11:00 am - 12:30 pm - Country Promotion Programme: Serbia-Montenegro; speech by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus, the Sava Centre. The event is open to the media.

12:30 - 2:30 pm – A round table, working luncheon of regional prime ministers and governors to the EBRD at the Sava Centre.

Cameramen and photojournalists will not be allowed to attend the beginning of the working luncheon as previously announced. The organisers of the meeting apologise for the inconvenience.

After the round table meeting, around 2:20 pm, Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic will give a statement to the press; Sava Centar, part A, ground floor, room D-9.

2:00 – 2:30 pm – Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus will meet with US Assistant Secretary for International Affairs Randy Quarles. The recording of the beginning of the meeting will be allowed, after which the two officials will give statements to the press, at 2:30 pm.

3:00 - 4:35 pm - The first session of the EBRD Board of Governors; speeches by Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and regional prime ministers.

According to the EBRD Protocol, the event will not be open to the media. The organisers of the meeting apologise for the inconvenience and submit the statement specifying the method of media coverage of the session.

5:45 – 6:15 pm - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus will meet with Swiss Economics Minister Joseph Deiss, in the Sava Centre, first floor, D-22, room 4. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting, after which a press release will be issued.

6:20 – 6:45 pm – Labus and Dinkic will meet with EU economic and monetary affairs commissioner Joaquin Almunia, first floor, D-17, room 16. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting, after which a press release will be issued.

7:00 pm - Reception for all participants of the EBRD Annual Meeting hosted by Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, the Federation Palace.

Monday, May 23

9:00 am - 12:50 pm - The third session of the EBRD Board of Governors, Sava Centre.

12:45 pm - Closing session of the EBRD Board of Governors, Sava Centre.

8:30 – 9:30 am – Dinkic will meet with the Belgian minister of finance in the Sava Centre, first floor - D24. The recording of the meeting will be allowed.

9:30 – Labus and Serbian Investment will meet with Vice Governor of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) Tadashi Tanami. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting. The Office of Media Relations will issue a statement afterwards.

The two officials will not give statements to the press as previously announced due to other appointments. The organisers apologise for the inconvenience.

9:30 – 10:30 am – Dinkic will meet with Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank Raphael Alomar in the Sava Centre, first floor, D-24. The recording of the meeting will be allowed.

10:00 – 11:15 am – Dinkic will meet with representatives of JP Morgans Investors in the Sava Centre, first floor, D-24. The recording of the meeting will be allowed.

10:15 – 11:00 am – Labus and Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivana Dulic-Markovic will meet with Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank Raphael Alomar at the Serbian government, 11 Nemanjina Street. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting.

11:00 – 11:30 am - Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica will meet with Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe Erhard Busek at the Serbian government, 11 Nemanjina Street. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting, after which a press release will be issued.

1:00 – 1:30 pm – Kostunica is meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Ribachuk at the Serbian government, 11 Nemanjina Street. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting, after which a press release will be issued.

3:00 – 3:30 pm – Kostunica will meet with Swiss Federal Councilor Joseph Deiss. Cameramen and photojournalists will be allowed to attend the beginning of the meeting, after which a press release will be issued.

4:30 – 5 pm – Dinkic will meet with the Macedonian finance minister in the Sava Centre, first floor, D-22, room 4. The recording of the meeting will be allowed.

All media representatives wishing to attend events in the Sava Centre are required to have accreditations issued exclusively by EBRD.

Reporters who have not obtained EBRD accreditations can apply for one on Saturday, May 21, in the Sava Centre, entrance B. They must submit their press credentials of their media houses.
