Born on 29 September 1978 in Valjevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics.

In four mandates (2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016) he was elected councillor of the Valjevo City Assembly.

He also served as Vice President of the Valjevo Municipality Assembly.

He is member of the Serbian parliament since June 2008.

In the convocation from 2008 to 2012, he was a member of the Legislative Committee, the Committee for Youth and Sports, the Committee for Justice and Administration, as well as a deputy member of the Committee for European Integration and the Committee for Constitutional Affairs.

In the convocation from 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the Committee for Administrative-Budgetary and Mandate-Immunity Issues, the Committee for European Integration, the Committee for Defence and Internal Affairs and was a deputy member of the Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Legislation. In the same convocation, he was also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

In the convocation from 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Committee for Administrative Budget and Mandate Immunity Issues and a deputy member of the Committee for Constitutional Affairs and Legislation, the Committee for Defence and Internal Affairs, and the Committee for Finance, the Republic Budget and Control of Spending of Public Funds. He was also a substitute member of the permanent delegation in the Parliamentary Dimension of the Central European Initiative.

From the 10th to the 12th convocation, he was president of the Socialist Party of Serbia’s caucus. In the 11th convocation, he was an MP. Member of the Socialist Party of Serbia since 1996.

From 2002 to 2021, he held the position of president of the City Committee of the Socialist Party of Serbia in Valjevo.

Since 2007, he has been a member of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia and in the same year he was elected as the spokesperson of the Main Board of the Socialist Party of Serbia.

He is vice president of the Socialist Party of Serbia main committee.

He held the position of minister without portfolio in charge of coordinating activities and measures in the field of relations between the Republic of Serbia and the diaspora from October 2022 to May 2024.

During that mandate, he was also elected acting Minister of Education on 31 May 2023 and held that office until 25 July 2023.
