Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today in talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg that the UN SC Resolution 1244 should be the starting point in the process of resolving the issue of the future status of Kosovo-Metohija, which establishes the commitment of all UN member states to uphold the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

Kostunica said that Serbia is participating constructively in the negotiations and is firmly determined to find a solution based on compromise in accordance with the principles of international law, the UN Charter and the Resolution 1244.
Stoltenberg and Kostunica jointly stated that Serbia and Norway have a tradition of excellent friendly relations.
The two heads of state particularly stressed the importance of mutual economic cooperation, underlining that the investment made last year by Norway’s Telenor in Serbia is the largest investment ever undertaken by the company.
It was also stated at the meeting that bilateral relations between Serbia and Norway have significantly improved.
