Solution for Kosovo must not become precedent in international law

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin as part of the annual session of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington.

On that occasion, Kudrin reiterated Russia's principled position regarding Kosovo issue, also held by Russian President Vladimir Putin, that the solution for the province's status must be acceptable for Serbia and must not become a precedent in international law.
Djelic and Kudrin examined the bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Russia, as well as the increasing interest of Russian investors in doing business in Serbia.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that it would be of strategic importance for Serbia that a branch of the gas pipeline "Blue Stream Two" goes through Serbia, and that this country is also ready to build a gas warehouse "Banatski Dvor".
Djelic asked the Russian Minister of Finance to help Serbia in getting a greater number of permits for Serbia's road carriers and to speed up the resolution of the privatisation issue of "Prva Petoletka" by Russian "Rosoborno-eksport".
