Dacic, who is co-chairman of this committee, together with Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, said that cooperation between the two countries will continue, and that Serbia with great joy awaits the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin on 16 October.
He pointed out that Serbia wants to strengthen cooperation with Russia in the energy sector, as well as to address the issue of privatisation of some enterprises in our country and put them into operation.
The First Deputy Prime Minister said that he discussed the provision of energy for Serbia for the coming winter, in case that there is a crisis in the transport of gas through Ukraine, noting that a solution was found for Serbia to be supplied safely.
Dacic said that he discussed the issue of debt by Serbian oil industry NIS and the return of debts of companies such as, for example, Petrohemija.
We expect great help from the Russian side to overcome the problems and find investors, he said, and confirmed that he discussed the possibilities of lowering gas prices for some industrial facilities.
Dacic said that the pipeline "South Stream" was not a topic of conversation, and reiterated that Russia and Serbia have no problem regarding the "South Stream" because our country wants its construction, while all the other problems need to be solved by Russia and the EU.
Novak said that one of the topics of discussion was the expansion of the list of products in the Free Trade Agreement, and added that Russia will soon give an answer, bearing in mind that it is in a customs union with Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The list of products will be enlarged with poultry meat, sugar, certain types of cheese, cigarettes, alcohol and cars, he said.
The Russian Energy Minister said that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is developing actively, adding that last year trade increased by 15.5%, and for seven months of this year, by 16.5%, which is very good.
He added that in the field of agriculture, a turnover of $300 million is expected this year, and that for the last two months, the volume of exports of agricultural products from Serbia increased 56 times, of cheeses by almost 17% and other products two to three times.
Dacic and Novak stated that the interstate trade, which amounts to $3.5 billion a year, is still insufficient, and pointed out that the aim is to increase it.
