In his address to the public at the Palace of Serbia, regarding the decision of the Pristina authorities to abolish the use of the dinar, Vucic said that Kurti made that decision on his own initiative with the aim of ethnically cleansing the Serbian population or deliberately subjecting them to abnormal living conditions.
He recalled that from the first Brussels agreement, the Principles signed in 2015, to later agreements, in each of those acts, the most significant norm is the right of the Republic of Serbia to finance certain activities – healthcare and education of the population in Kosovo and Metohija.
Vucic underlined that the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija must know that the state will do everything to ensure that they receive their income.
According to him, in Kosovo and Metohija we have 31,831 employees, 29,115 pensioners, of whom 4,700 pensioners receive pensions in cash due to health conditions, inability to go to the bank, etc., so the number of those receiving salaries and pensions is 60,946.
In addition, there are 31,586 users of social benefits in Kosovo and Metohija, for which the state sets aside RSD 350 million every month.
There are also 2,430 beneficiaries of scholarships for pupils and students, 2,000 users of soap kitchen, for which the state sets aside RSD 85 million, which is four times more than before, which speaks volumes about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the President said.
Vucic said that there are 6,794 registered farms in the province.
The President of Serbia announced that the representative of Serbia at the UN Mission, in accordance with Article 35 of the UN Charter, Article 3 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure, will submit a request in written form for an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council.
He added that he believes that now those who recognised the independence of "Kosovo" will also vote for that session to be held, as he expressed his belief that they understand well the consequences of Albin Kurti's criminal decision to cancel payment transactions with Serbia.
Vucic said that he has finished writing letters that have an almost identical structure regarding the events in Kosovo and Metohija, but each one is personalised and will be addressed to representatives of the Member States of the European Union, representatives of EU institutions, as well as to the presidents and prime ministers of all member states of the UN Security Council, including the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
