Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica spoke to UNMIK head Harri Holkeri today on the most recent armed violence in Kosovo-Metohija and called for efficient action by international security forces to stop the violence against Serbs in Caglavica, Severna Mitrovica and other towns in the province, the Serbian government said in a statement.

Kostunica told Holkeri that restoring peace and order is the most important task for international forces now. The two officials also agreed that the newly emerged situation must be alleviated and control in the province re-established.
Kostunica also met with Serbia-Montenegrin President Svetozar Marovic to discuss further crucial steps of the two governments.
Following the events in Kosovo-Metohija, Kostunica has called an extraordinary of the Serbian government, which will also be attended by Serbia-Montenegrin Minister of Defence Boris Tadic, Minister of Foreign Affairs Goran Svilanovic, Army Chief of Staff Branko Krga, Director of the Serbian Security and Intelligence Agency (BIA) Rade Bulatovic, and Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Nebojsa Covic.
